Coway (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaya for an academic-industrial collaboration for the first R&D Centre outside of South Korea. This partnership will see the establishment of several laboratories to conduct water and sleep quality research, as well as in-depth research to develop Coway’s products with Malaysians in mind. Besides, this collaboration will also include internships, consultations, sponsorships, and other opportunities. We believe in constant innovation for a better life, and we strive to provide solutions that go beyond care. The Signing Ceremony was held at Rimba Ilmu, Universiti Malaya on 21 April 2022. Attended by Managing Director of Coway (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Mr. Choi Ki Ryong and at Universiti Malaya side are, Profesor Ir. Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) with fellow management and researcher from Coway and Universiti Malaya. CARiNG Pharmacy is entering a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaya through the Faculty of Pharmacy to explore meaningful industrial–university linkage in nurturing future leaders in pharmacist in various strategic programs. In addition, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) will soon-to-be linked with UM Sustainability and Development Centre (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) towards 2030. |
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between Universiti Malaya and Western Digital Tech and Regional Center (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Universiti Malaya inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Western Digital Tech and Regional Center (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for innovation that is inspired by the convergence of human potential and digital transformation. By this collaboration, students get the insights of what the industry needs and know how to tap into talent coming into the industry. Mr. Raghu as a Managing Director of Western Digital Tech are believed that strategic industry-university collaboration is a critical component of the innovation process, providing a myriad of benefits to both parties. For academic’s side, Western Digital will help student about their research to achieve tangible impacts and gain access to new skills, data or equipment. UM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias said the partnership is an opportunity for UM to be involved and expand mutually beneficial collaborations in research projects that can create value to the society through innovative solutions. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with Gamuda Land and Memorandum of Collaboration with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) 27 July 2022 - Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with Gamuda Land and Memorandum of Collaboration with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). Gamuda Land, UM and UKM inked a Memorandum of Understanding at Gamuda Cove on 27 July 2022. Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Badrul Anuar Juma’at (Associate Vice-Chancellor of Infrastructure and Information Service) represented UM to sign the MoU with LAr. Khariza Abdul Khalid (Executive Director of Gamuda Land).
The areas of collaboration cover the following initiatives: In short, these sustainability partnerships are aligned with the Gamuda Green Plan (GGP) with sets of targets driven by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The goal is to reduce direct and indirect corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions intensity by 30% in 2025 and 45% in 2030.
