Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony
between Universiti Malaya & Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB)
The Universiti Malaya, through the UM Center of Continuing Education (UMCCed), successfully held a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) on 20 September 2024 at the Chancellery Building.
The event was attended by the Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank Islam, Mr. Mohd Muazzam Mohamed, and witnessed by Mr. Iskandar Shah Zulkarnain, Group Chief Human Resources Officer of Bank Islam. Representing Universiti Malaya, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, attended, with Dr. Azni Zarina Taha, Executive Director of UMCCed, as the witness.
The scope of the collaboration includes the development of the Compliance Certification Module and the Joint Certification of the Professional Certificate of Compliance Practice (PPCP) Programme. The Compliance Module is aimed at facilitating the development, review, exchange of knowledge, research findings, best practices, and innovative ideas. Meanwhile, the Joint Certification of the PPCP Programme focuses on conducting workshops, online examinations, announcing examination results, and jointly awarding certificates.
